“Women of Ireland” or “Mná na hÉireann” in Irish is a song composed by Seán Ó Riada, perhaps the most influential figure in the revival of Irish traditional music during the 1960s. There are few pieces of music that can move me more, and I had the great pleasure of being at this very performance in London last year.

. Always good to get some moody Celtic influence into rock music. “Mná na hÉireann”, which I understand translates as Women of Ireland is a bit iconic and based on an old 18th Century poem, but haven’t found the words yet.
